Just wanted to mention another resource on cob construction, which is a book hot off the press called THE COB BUILDER's HANDBOOK: You can Hand-Sculpt Your Own Home, by Becky Bee. It is available through Groundworks, PO Box 381, Murphy, Oregon 97533, Cost is 19.95 plus $4 shipping in the US I do believe. Becky's web site address: http://www.cpros.com/~sequoia It is fantastic how much information is becoming available! Also, I edit a quarterly called CIRCLE ROUND, a publication of the Women's Natural Building Network (subs $10-15/year)--you can email me or snail mail for subscription info. CobNet is an online picture gallery of natural building, and provides links to cob and other nat-building resources at the web address below. Hope this is of help to the mad mudders all about. Cob blessings! : ) Marna Hauk Systers of Creation Natural Building and Permaculture Design and Ed sparking at teleport.com http://www.teleport.com/~sparking PO Box 14194 Portland, Oregon 97293 503/224-6136 On Mon, 25 Aug 1997, Joe Whelan wrote: > I am looking for a good general reference to Cob construction.
