Cob Re: daubin' the wattle

In England wattle and daub was I believe sometimes used for partitions
in cob houses (probably the earlier ones).  

It is my understanding that you don't get "wattle and daub" houses but
rather timber frame houses with wattle and daub infill.  But I could
be wrong.
