It helps if you are the author :-) since:

   1) You know the article exists
   2) You think like the person who wrote it so you automatically use the
      right key words for a quick search.

I found the article using the coblist search engine, which is available to
anyone wanting to search the coblist archives (actually my whole web site),
you can either use the "Search The Archives" link on the coblist home page
at:

   http://www.deatech.com/natural/coblist/

or you can use one of the major search engines such as Google -- I know
they index the archives, as do several others.  For this search I used the
following list of keywords:

    cob floors linseed thinner

you could of course use fewer keywords to get a larger list of relevant
postings, but I knew all of these words were in the posting I was looking
for and this narrowed the results to just two.
