[Cob] RE evading codestim ely timaely at yahoo.comFri Jan 2 20:42:14 PST 2004
Here's one I've been pondering. In most areas post and beam houses are no problem for geting permits. I don't think they specify what material the "posts" are made of. Perhaps rammed earth posts could be described as earthen bricks. They pretty much are bricks, or just one large brick. I know the infill material is usually not important for permits either, so cob would be a-ok. That way your entire wall is earth of some form or another. Just an idea. tim __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Find out what made the Top Yahoo! Searches of 2003 http://search.yahoo.com/top2003
