Shannon has asked that we take the discussion off-list essentially because
feeling and invective ran too high.

Again, I reiterate, natural builders of all stripes have a lot to learn from
each other, and hybrid solutions may best tailor a building to your site,
resources, time, labor, etc.  I hope those of you who are open to means
including but not limited to cob will spend some time on the bale list for
sound responses to CircleNet's opinions dismissive of bale building.  Thanks
to those four of you who contacted me off-list, grateful for someone taking
on the dismissal.  I didn't mean to offend anyone, but I do get irritated
when bale building is given short shrift in such an off-handed manner, just
as I do when I hear disparaging remarks about cob's limitations without
acknowledgment of its appropriate uses.
