Joyce sent it just to me--I've snipped a little bit (I've done it myself at
least once this week!).

Extensive ventilation is one good way of keeping radon from building up.
For other reasons as well, I like that idea. I've never thought about radon
in my spring water--what I mostly drink. But it does tend to sit for a
couple of days in a smallish container before I drink it.

I'm not at all sure if people are as concerned about Radon as they used to
be.

Testing to see if you are in a radon zone is probably the best idea. It's
here, but maybe not widespread.

One participant added the suggestion to use gas proof sheeting between the
concrete foundation and flooring to prevent Radon gas exposure as well as
allowing well water to stand in the cistern for several weeks so that this
gas
can be released.

I plan to do some homework on this by starting at the EPA website. Do you
have any thoughts?

Thanks again,
