I'm sleeping on one now.
Not bad ..except fora slow air leak.
Put tire sealer in it .
But it would allow one to use lift the bed out of the way. say you could
sleep on a table and then have the space for something else
Air beds are worth exploring.
In theory you could put electric lights in them to heat it up 
at night when it is cold out.
