The faster the bricks are dried, the more likely they are to crack, and a 
good mix shouldn't crack when it dries, so if you oven dry them and they 
crack, you won't know if they would crack or not in the real world.  On 
the other hand if you oven dry and they don't crack, then you shouldn't 
have any problems with cracking in your building.
