Just beautiful!!! > > Cheers all! > Chuck NH rocks, Chuck. Lots of mountains and lakes, although there are some commercialized places (mostly for skiing and tourism) up there too. It's just not nearly as destroyed as anything like what you see every day (or me in eastern Mass.) There are fifty lifetimes of hiking up in the White Mountains. To me it's really special. You can find yourself up there. If you're staying east I think NH and VT are pretty good bets. Out west my personal favorite is Oregon. It's almost 100k square miles with only 3 million people. I could write a book about Oregon (but I won't.) Coincidentally there is a ton of cob stuff happening out there. And the soil has a bunch of clay in it where up in NH it's very sandy in a lot of places. Let us know if you ever check out some places in NH and tell us what you think. p
