so adding lime to the cob, and using it on the base wall part, or even 
a pure ime plaster will not stop water from flowing...  fundamental 
aspect of the power of nature...  look at how dams are built!   they 
are cement overkill to the max, and even they burst too.

water always wins..respect it, and go build higher   ;  >
