[Cob] Good windbreak plants for close planting to cob wall?

Hi Ziggy,

Just a thought, not sure you can use it in an ecovillage.  Have you explored the idea of a living fence?  Basically a row of interlaced plants/trees, fastened together while young then allowed to grow.  Don't remember the name for them (traditionally it's something other than fedge), here's an example though.
