as a woman (sorry, husband's email name) who's been
lucky enough to know quite a few intelligent, talented
people so far, let me just say this: while darel's
input/knowledge is in ESSENCE a benefit to this list,
his smallness as a person is certainly not. it's not
easy to be a brainiac and yet still be in touch with a
kind of, i don't know - grace. but it is more
powerful,  and demonstrates a wisdom that sadly, he
will never know. i'm awfully glad to experience  him
via this list, rather than in person.
