Yes, thanks for the point. But, it should also be noted that some people use cob ovens, which appear to survive the heat. I don't have a cob oven, but have seen historic ones, but not ones in use. Perhaps someone who has seen cob ovens in use or is using them can tell us about their performance or durability to heat. Perhaps the wood stick/bones of the oven help make it more heat resisant?
