A lurker here.......

Human hair was used as the crosshairs in rifle scopes, according to my memories....
I'm late in this discussion....so would someone tell me what function the hair served in the plaster?
I use hair in my compost.......I cut my honey's hair so he has contributed 10 years worth of it to the piles.... I just spread an 8 year pile on my garden and it showed no hairs at all.....

My question has to do with insects....might hair not attract unwanted insects? Or does the lime used in the mix make it unattractive....????
Mary, in NC mtns where winter returns tomorrow
