[Cob] Cob used as masonry in cordwood

I am new to this list and have searched the archives for references to cob 
being used in place of cement masonry in cordwood construction. Someone 
suggested there had been some discussion on this topic.

Could someone offer some assistance/advice on this topic or on locating it 
in the archives for me.
